David Winkler (Classes)

David Winkler is a familiar name in church instrumental music, having directed groups both large and small since the mid-'70s. A graduate of North Texas State University, he has served as pianist, orchestra director, and minister of music in churches in Texas and Tennessee. Besides arranging numerous pieces both vocal and instrumental for publication, he served on orchestration design committees for several hymnals, including the Baptist Hymnal and the Celebration Hymnal. He has been a guest conductor/clinician for several major conferences, and was twice nominated for a GMA Dove award for his collaborations with multi-instrumentalist Fletch Wiley. As an educator, he has taught piano and guitar privately, and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Williamson Christian College and Trevecca Nazarene University. "I'm grateful to God for how he has touched my life personally, and for the many opportunities He has given me to serve Him through music," David says. "My greatest joy is to hear that the music I've had a part in is being used to praise Him and to bless the lives of others."
