Me Story / God Story
How does your story fit into God's story? By taking a look at the stories of several women in the Bible, we can see that every individual story is important and shows us something about God. But they are really part of a much bigger story – the story of God, what he has been doing in the world throughout history. Women need to learn to pull their lives up into this bigger story, because we can feel that the tasks we do are small, and therefore our lives are small and don't matter. The Bible tells us something very different: We are part of an epic story, a great battle. That's easy to miss when you are slugging life out at the me-story level. So I want to challenge us to tell a better story with our lives. That doesn't mean we have to change what we are doing, but how we do it and how we view it.
